Response to Class Discussion: Television

Ahhh good ol' TV. It is always nice to come home from a long day of working to just kick back, relax, and watch some TV. We're very lucky to have been born in this generation because I would very much rather live now than in the early 1900s. Back then you couldn't just take a break and watch your favorite TV show. All they really had was radio, but I guess you can say that was still pretty exciting for them. Television has come a long way. It was invented in 1927 and in about 10 years, 1 million people had at least one television per household. After only another two years, that number went up 8 times and one more year after that? Already 12 million people! That is insane. By 1977, 97% of homes had a television. It looks like people enjoyed the TV more than the radio.
